I'm sure the car tested was NOT full production version, which may explain some mismatched interior panels. Even it has some minor interior flaws, I won't mind.
Hey, let's get one thing stright here. G35 starts at low $30K and it is not exactly "real" luxury sedans that cost well over $50K. I don't expect perfect interior. If you do, go buy $90k BMW or Mercedes....and you won't find perfection in them either! The G35's new interor looks tons of better than the previous and I'm sure the material quality and fitting has improved significantly too. That's good enough for me.
Today most V6 Japanese sedans cost high $20k and even over $30k if you add enough options. Even V6 Accord EX costs $27,400! The G35 comes with almost everything standard at low $30k and hits 60mph in very low 5sec!!!. The only option packages offered by G35 are really cutting-edge stuffs like Bose studio-on-wheel, active steering and traffic-linked-Nav, which most others don't even offer. Even the bare bone G35 will have almost everything that other luxury sedans offers.
Bottom line. The G35 offers the best performance and value per $$ today. Period. The only other car that I might consider is new 335i sedan, but it will be at least $10k more expensive.
IS350 is so dead and it doesn't even offer manual.

For enthusiasts, a G35 + $10k+ in mod money >>> 335i.

I actually just got done reading the article myself. All in all, pretty good write up. They had a lot of positive things to say about it. I am glad they acknowledged that it only had 200 miles on it and still in the break in period. MT didn't acknowledge that at all.
I am really hoping that aluminum trim looks okay though......

you do realize that the $3k (most likely used for chipping, intake, exhaust) in mods used for the 335i will also void warranty, right?

Damn, I really wish they had not trashed the sport model with that ugly front bumper. It looks sad, literally. Looks like a frowning mouth with the edges turned down.
Wonder if it would be possible to put a non-sport from bumper on the sport?
I was planning on getting black so color match would not really be a problem with a replacing the front bumper.
