This is still a big if at my house but my intent is to pick one up after Christmas. I'm going for closer to the end of the '07's but before they stop taking orders.
Trey is still saying we aren't getting one. I'll check back with you all after Christmas on this one.

Sounds like you are quite determined to get what you want Cheryl. Did you happen to see the Cheating wife Thread

'07 G35 Sedan
If I get one, it will most likely be a G35 Sedan Sport, DG/black - Sport, Premium, Navi, Technology, Sport Wheel/Tires, 4 wheel active steer, and XM Sat Radio...loaded of course!
But, I'm not sold on anything until I drive it in Nov., and I'm taking a test drive of the '07 BMW 335i tt Coupe this Friday. The 335i tt Sedan comes out in Nov. as well. Getting excited...we shall see.

Interesting, I think it was in MT that Infiniti was quoted as saying the 6MT Sport would account for only 10% of total sales....hope there's no shortage based on this poll!
My plans are to buy something (BMW still has a chance, but I'm doubting it, depends on the G35S) in mid-March. I hope that the price of the Infiniti will pull back a bit--it's just a mental thing, I hate to pay anywhere near list. Because it does seem that 18 mos. later Nissan products get discounted...first buyers of the '04 Maxima paid so much more than those who picked up '06's with rebates. Sorry to bring that up if Nissan is a different animal, but just the rationale for why I don't like to pay near list.

I think there's a much higher % of people that drive stick and post on cars forums regularly then there are overall.
Most of the sedan G's I see in town are driven by 40+ year old ladies who are probably in the upper segment of middle-management. They're all auto's. And they sure as hell aren't posting here.

I have to see what Infiniti can do for me when it comes to the 2007 Infiniti G35. If they can't do anything, 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD here I come.

I hope to have something in mid-March, but it does seem a bit close imho to when they first arrive for any real demand to change....I feel the '04 Maxima owners got burned big-time for being the first on the block. I've followed the E90 330, and about when they came out people were paying $500 below list. Today, They are about $2500 below list and a tad more for the haggler..question becomes is it worth it to pay roughly 2k more to get it 10 mos. earlier (rhetorical). That 2 divided by 47 grand is much smaller than the Maxima's 2 divided by 30 grand %-wise....maybe G35 is somewhere in-between....
1k off I may be ok, hopefully 2 though in March!

It also depends a lot on the size of dealer, the competition, and your negotiation skills. I’ll be purchasing in December 2006 or January 2007. I’m expecting to pay $1,000 over invoice which will probably be $2,500 below MSRP. In the end, it’s an Infiniti G35 and not a limited production vehicle ( i.e. 2007 Neiman Marcus Edition Lexus GS 450h ) so there’s no way anyone should be paying MSRP ( or close to it ) for it IMO. If people are comfortable paying MSRP for an Infiniti G35 they should go for it because it’s their money, but I don’t think it’s worth paying MSRP for IMO.

Ultimately, I have nothing to lose because I'm still not completely committed to the 2007 Infiniti G35 yet. The 2007 Infiniti G35's lack of some features / options still irks me. Also, I don't know how I feel about the interior just yet. My dad wants me to get the 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD now, but I want to wait and see what the 2007 Infiniti G35, 2007 Acura TL Type-S, and the 2007 Acura MDX have to offer me.
