Although I can't spot it, I'm still curious as to where it is.

Would you be able to photoshop circle it and repost the pic?

I understand that the vehicle Edmunds had was a production line test car, but I sure hope Infiniti addresses the clear fit-and-finish issues w/the interior in the photos provided.

Case in point: the G35 leather seats in the photos attached looked more like shinny vinyl then the IS350 and BMW, which look very sumptuous. Also, the inconsistent gaps in the console are very prevalent. Again these are photos so this may not be the case in person. Let’s hope Goshn move the "bargain" factor in places where it is not so noticeable, unlike the last horrendous interior.

Nevertheless, the new interior does look very much improved and shows how bad the previous interior was.

You're right it's difficult judging the interiors from photos without more closely matched perspectives and exact lighting or best of all in person. In any event the G interior looks like a big improvement and appears to me to be best in class asthetically from the photos attached.

The G has more style than the others, it's more modern, upscale and sporty. The Lexus is clean with quality materials but very bland. The BMW looks rich, expensive and classic but just not as modern.

I'll reserve final judgement untill I actually sit in the new G35...

However, I have been in the E92 335i and the IS350 (sport versions)

The Lex is really cheap looking around the center stack especially,
and it would definitely be last on my list.

When I sat in the 335i I was in love...
The overall fit & finish was great; & those sport seats are heaven.
I would however like to have seen the center stack oriented to the driver a bit.
But, this seems a common issue with all three.

Hopefully the new G will give BMW a run for it's money (literally)

This the exact interior I sat in in the 335 Except for the I-drive(boo) yummy

Of course G35 1st (assuming the LCD screen is standard compared to IS350 does not have LCD unless you get the navi package).
Even if the IS350 has LCD, I would still pick the G35 because it has MAUNAL with a HANDBRAKE.

That's the best route. Wait and see how comfortable and ergonomically correct it is for yourself.

Nice shot. That is a great looking seat.

I've sat in the Lexus as well and in the 330 but not the 335 since there are none in town. I had a look at the dealer inventory but didn't ask anyone about delivery as I wanted to stay away from the hound dog sales guys.

It's funny, I hooked up with a great guy at the BMW dealership....
a car enthusiast & a big Nissan fan as well.

After spending time with the 335 he came back out with me
& spent time looking at my car and all the mods
He was quick to pick up a lot of the subtle things I've done, like the '05 bu lights.
Obviously knew the product well.

It was very refreshing from the usual attitude of Bimmer sales guys.

Wow. That is very impressive and not too common.

I was scared to talk to them as I didn't even want to tempt myself. LOL

Not too common is right..
He set me up for a demo next week,
even after I let him know I won't be doing anything soon.

Smart. He has nothing to lose and you're already saying good things about him.

I actually like the BMW interior. Somewhat "spartan" maybe, but not too cluttered, which can be nice. Not a fan of the orange colored gauges really, the G's look way better. I also think the G interior is awesome looking, but really want to see it in person to say for sure. I think all the buttons, *****, switches around the LCD screen look kind of cluttered. But, if they provide easy and flexible functionality, it's worth it. I drive is at least a cleanly implemented interface, even if it is a bit of hassle. Lexus interior is "nice," the gauges are kind of cool looking. But, the shifter is horrible ugly, looks like a maze of shift gates.

So, for now I'd say the G35 and BMW are pretty closely tied. G seems a bit more upscale to me, but I want to see them in person. Lexus...blah

Ok - attached is a repost of a low-res scan, but I've marked out some of the inconsistent gaps. Again this could be a parallax effect also; but if you look at the actual publication these [what appear to be] gaps/misaligned panels are much clearer.

I had an '05 TL and it definitely blew away the current G's interior [but so did most other offerings], but now the new G looks like a winner. I'm hoping that the assembly/materials is as good as it looks.
