I know that if a car is purchased in NY, MA, CT, VT, a car will have CA emissions. And when the hood is lifted, the emissions control label has the word "California" on it.
Anywhere else, the label says "50 States" Even though CA is one of the 50 states, I don't think it's the same.
I thought NJ joined the above 4 states, anyone know? I live in PA and was planning on going across the river when I buy my car. I figured that having the CA emissions will ensure that the vehicle can pass a smog test anywhere, as I may relocate to NYC which would be stricter than PA....any NJ folks out there that know?! Thx.
