Emergency In-Car Assistance
Per below, I rec'd confirmation from Infiiniti Canada that they will NOT be offering ( even as an option), any emergency 'On-Star' like services. That's sucks, as even my 2000 Pontiac mini van had it!.....ands its now available for free for 4 years for BMW - see below.

For 2007, will Infiniti be offering anything similar to what BMW does offers for navigation / bluetooth enabled vehicles re in-car emergency assistance??
BMW offers this free in 2006 for the first year….and is now offering it free for FOUR years. Per their web site "And, beginning with 2007 models that are equipped with the BMW Assist™* and Bluetooth® system, a four-year, unlimited mileage subscription to the BMW Assist™ Safety Plan is included as part of BMW Ultimate Service, at no additional charge."
Even if not free, is such a service available from Infiniti???
A description of the service is below (from their web site). I know other manufacturers offer this as well. Even our old Pontiac van had this !!!
Thanks

A subscription to the BMW Assist Safety & Security package provides many valuable features:
Automatic Collision Notification (ACN)
In the event of an airbag deployment, the BMW Assist Response Centre is automatically notified. A BMW Assist response specialist will obtain the vehicle's location and other relevant data and then establish voice contact with the driver or vehicle occupant.
Even if the driver does not respond, the response centre will direct the appropriate emergency services to the vehicle's location. If a voice contact is established, the response specialist will continue to speak with the driver or occupants to provide a reassuring presence. A second response specialist will coordinate the emergency dispatch.
Emergency Assistance
Upon manually activating “Emergency” on the Control Display or pressing the “SOS” button, vehicle location and other important data are transmitted to the BMW Assist Response Centre. A response specialist will speak with you to coordinate dispatch, notify your emergency contacts, and link you to BMW Roadside Assistance as needed/requested. Emergency directions may also be provided.
Roadside Assistance
In the event of a flat tire, empty gas tank or other vehicle problem, the BMW Assist Response Centre is ready to link you to BMW Roadside Assistance at just the push of a button. Once linked, BMW Roadside Assistance will have access to the same information as the BMW Assist Response Centre. The representative will be able to quickly coordinate dispatch of appropriate assistance to your exact location.
