I for one think it sucks that they moved heated seats from standard on the current generation to optional on the new one, and bundled them in a $3000 option package to boot.

Not sure how accurate Edmund's predictions are, but they estimated the base price to be $33,500, which isn't too shabby. Link: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do.../pageId=101742

Makes sense. The 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport that they tested had the Premium Package and the Four Wheel Active Steer Package. The estimated base price was $33,500 MSRP and the price as tested was $38,850 MSRP ( i.e. roughly $3000 for the Premium Package and $2,000 for the Four Wheel Active Steer Package ).Originally Posted by GoofyG28

I completely agree. A similarly equipped 2007 will NOT be more than about $1000 over the past model. So without all the new gadgets (tech package, active steer) it should be about $1000 more than the old one. I would think under $40K with premium, tech and nav for a 6MT.Originally Posted by S L I C K
Infiniti clearly stated that the 2007 Infiniti G35 pricing would be very similar to the 2006 Infiniti G35 pricing. The base price of the 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport will probably be around $33,000 MSRP plus $3,000 for the Premium Package, $2,000 for the Navigation Package, and $1,000 for the Technology Package. In the end you'll probably be looking at a $39,000 MSRP for a fully loaded 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport.
My 2005 6MT sedan retailed at $37K with prem, nav and XM. I would bet a 2007 with prem, nav and XM goes for about $38K or so. The tech package, maybe another $1000?
Still, quite a bargain for under $40K considering the features, performance and technology. Finally... decent bluetooth (love it in my Lexus), MP3, decent stereo (let's hope), laser cruise, AFS, CF support, etc. for under $40K list. I got my 2005 with employee pricing, basically invoice, about $34K. If I can get a 2007 loaded up for $35K... how could I complain? That's a helluva lot of car for the money.
BTW - looks like XM is included with the NAV package, now.

In the Car & Driver review, the est. base price is even lower: $32,5000. With the Premium package, they estimated $36,000. I want the nav, so OTD will easily be over $41,000. That's MSRP, of course. An incredible bargain nonetheless.

Easily over 41k, and a bargain? Did Infiniti pay you to say that? Originally Posted by GoofyG28

Knowing that a 335 sedan is 46k LOADED (only w/o laser cruise, rear sunshade, and sat radio), who in their right mind would buy a G35 at 41k? Your talking about a car that will toast the new G35S to 60 by .8 sec, and about 6 mph faster trap speed in the 1/4 mile, and handling that no Japanese car can touch? I'm gonna say the loaded G35S will be 8-10 grand cheaper so it can compete. At 7,500 cheaper, the only reason a person doesn't go German is because they don't have the 7.5 or cant justify spending that much. It's called separating the men from the boys....

Marketing guys must love you. Do you happen to have a Harley? Sigh...
I priced a 335 with everything and it was just under $50,000.00. 10 thousand or 20% less gives you the G. The real MAN would pocket the difference, not spend it for .8 supposed seconds. Nice try to justify waste and make yourself feel better about one upping the Jones'.

Give me a fully loaded ( i.e. Premium Package, Navigation Package, and Technology Package ) 2007 Infiniti G35 for $37,500 - $38,000 ( after negotiating ) and I'm golden. At that price ... 2007 BMW 335i who?

Don't know where you got that data, but check out the MT article which reviews a manual G35S and the BMW will be .4 seconds quicker 0-60 and 3mph faster in the quarter (can't find online article). And for the price, that 41k G35 will include laser cruise control (tech package) and sat radio, which add over 2k to the BMW. The G35 is still one hell of a bargain.Originally Posted by John105

When I say $41k, I'm talking about out the door at MSRP. I'm only interested in the Premium and Nav packages. $36,000 seems to be the popular estimate for the car with Premium, then another $2k for nav. At $38k, I'm adding at least another $3k for taxes and fees. Originally Posted by John105

So even if you pay MSRP, you're only paying $42,000 out the door, compared to an almost $50k BMW before taxes and fees.
I don't need the 0.8-second difference to justify my manhood.
I'll take the extra $10,000 and take 4 beautiful ladies to dinner -- and none of them will complain about the rear seat, either.Quote:
