Taking a guess ....

I think that's either
(a) the supposed "RAM" air intake (or)
(b) the place where the Laser cruise control "emitter" would be put in.

I find it really strange that after all the pics we have seen of the new G, we have yet to see one single picture of Ivory Pearl.

Thanks again to the OP for posting up these excellent pics!

Glad that you liked my pics

I don't know about IP - but I echo what you said .... its not like IP is an exotic color that's only done by order (like BMW's "priority one" options !)
I am sure most dealers would have at least one of that color when the first allocations come in sometime in November.

Is this the Liquid Platinum or Platinum Graphite? Which is which -- which is silver and which is gray?

The one that you see in my photos is Liquid Platinum - closer to Silver.

How did you manage to take that? Ask the dealership to turn off all the lights and shut their blinds? Or did you cover all the car windows and windshield somehow?

Ha ha -- If I had put in an order today, they would've probably turned off the lights

It was actually quite dark when I went today - overcast and rainy - so it wasn't all that hard !
(Car was parked inside and it was not super brightly lit anyways !!)

Hmmm... perhaps overdrive cancel, or maybe a winter mode for the auto trans?

And... that blue lighting looks AWESOME!

Couldn't agree more

The guages look really awesome ..... backlit and all ....
The lighting is quite subtle - not garrish.

Also they have ambient lighting from the ceiling (like the 5 series) - that's whitish LED light - quite cool too.

Plus the analog clock comes to life with the backlight -- IMO, its kinda iffy without it

Indeed. The blue lighting gives it a nice touch.

BTW, 2 questions:
1. Does the analog clock have a backlight?
2. Can the brightness of the center console be adjusted?

When you digitally set the clock time on the screen, it'll adjust the analog hands? Hot....

1. Yes - look at this pic .... the clock has bluish/whitish bg

2. Not sure - but I am quite certain it is linked to the gauge lighting and can be adjusted.

It's probably under the "Display" menu. Like all LCDs, you can prob adjust the brightness, and I'm guessing this nav also has a day/night mode (maybe you can set the time to it when to switch between the two).
