Blue Slate yet?

Is it the same as the current Midnight/Twilight Blue?

I just had a clandestine meeting with a Blue Slate G. I had to go into my dealer after they blew me off on the phone. I told them a dealer an hour away has one they are going to show me. That convinced him to go ahead and show me. He drove me a few blocks away where they had it hidden.

The Blue Slate is very nice! It is a midnight blue and the pics do not do it justice. I probably wouldn't get that color since I have had a dark blue TL for the last 3 years.

A couple of other notes from the dealer:
- I am scheduled for a test drive on Friday the 27th. They have to wait until the reveal party is over.

-The model I saw and all dealer reveal models are pre-production and can't be test driven. You could tell in the interior by some of the fit and finish issues mentioned on this board that look fixed in production pictures.

-They told me top of the line sport (nav, prem, tech) would be around 40k worse case scenario.

-No on VPP at this dealer but another dealer told me they would honor it if they have some Gs in stock that aren't sold out. I think he is just screwing with me though.

-It looks a million times better in person. I didn't even mind the chrome spoiler. My only decision now is Platinum Graphite or Liquid Platinum. Definitely Sport with Prem, Nav, XM.

the blue slate looks great. its really a better alternative to the standard dark blues you see on cars now. i really cant think of any manufactuer using this color or somthing similar. its a dark blue with grey in it. the dealer here in Nashville has the blue slate. i love it. it looks great with the chrome. im sure this color will be most poular with the stone interior....

this is my fav dark color i beleive. hell, who am i kiddin, i love every color and would have a killer time tryin to decide what i would want....if i actually got to buy one

Hmmm.... looks nice, but I'll need to see it in person to be sure.

I hope the one I'll be seeing tomorrow is a Blue Slate.
