I can't believe someone is selling the brochure that was passed out last night at the launch event:

Folding seats would be nice.

The thing that REALLY bothers me about this issue is why the hell would the sporty 2 door coupe have folding rear seats (which is essentially useless anyway on the coupe due to it's tiny 8 cu ft trunk) yet the old gen G35 sedan and the new 07 G35 sedan doesn't have folding seats.

You would think Infiniti would realize that sedan owners want more utility out of their car than coupe owners. Yet the coupe gets the folding seats? To make matters worse, you would think Infiniti would understand this problem and at least have folding rear seats available on the 07 G35 sedan.

This isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is just irksome when one thinks about the logic, or lack thereof, which went into this decision by Infiniti.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the guages. The white on blue instrument cluster was just plain beatiful. (I wonder if it would swap? lol)

Stereo sounded good. The dealer had copied several CD's to the hard drive, and the interface was easy to use. Touchscreen NAV looked great and easier to use.

The trunk did look smaller, no matter what the dealers tried to tell me.

I don't know if I like the lines of the rear window and trunk. Looks too short.

I haven't had a car payment in 1.5 years, and I don't think the '07 is enough car for me to take on monthly payments.

Just got back from the event. The ICC sensor and the backup camera look really bad on the G35 Sport. Why the heck would you put a black camera in the chrome lip? I might just pass on the Technology Package because the ICC sensor and the backup camera almost ruin the look of the car.

That's probably because the car was available for viewing in most dealers for a few weeks already
I drooled & posted pics (like many did)

Here you go:

Here is a large size pic of the guages:

They handing out any Infiniti freebies (other than the bag that was mentioned)? I was thinking of stopping by Infiniti of Oakland where I bought my '06 sedan but if it's literally just a showing of the car I have no need to go as I've already seen/sat in the car and will be able to see it in a much less hectic environment at my next service appnt. I doubt they'll be giving test drives tonight so no need to go for that either - but I can't wait!

I'm going to write a letter to Infinity, hopefully someone else will, and they will wake up and redesign the
'08 model to include rear seats. This is plain stupid. I just realized how valuable space is to me by paying attention for a whole day.

We went for a drive today and ended up stopping at our golf course to take home our bags as the season is pretty much over here. Two bags fit fine. You probably could squeeze 4 in the truck if you removed the drivers and placed them on top.

However, we did not take our carts home and I doubt they would have fit well. Our carts and 2 bags fit into our old G so I do see a problem if you want to take carts with your golf bags in the new G.

I agree. I've decided against the tech pack. too. I also decided against the Nav. because of the CD changer takes up too much room in the trunk.
