Model year '07 is the last year that Nissan/Infiniti will offer a Sirius option
Wow, no Sirius option at all for 2008. And I was going to wait for the 2008 G35 coupe, skipping the nav if necessary (and it's apparently necessary) to get Sirius.

If I can't get Sirius at all next year, I may need to think more about a 335i coupe instead. I guess it's always about compromises--a longer wait and an aftermarket Sirius radio for the G35 coupe, or a shorter wait and integrated Sirius for the BMW. All things being equal, I'd prefer the G35, but this is another argument against it (for me).

xm in my opinion has more variety - sirius seems to play the same songs over and over

Puleeze ... let's not get into a debate on the relative merits of the two services. It's very much a matter of taste, like most things automotіve, and it can't be settled one way or another.

It's a matter of personal taste. They're both good (I have Sirius in the car, and I get XM via DirecTV at home). I agree with da mayor that XM has deeper playlists. Sirius has DJs, which adds a human feel that XM (which does not) lacks.

Other than that, it comes down to your specific programming preferences--Sirius has Howard Stern and Martha Stewart; XM has Oprah. If you're a sports fan, XM has major league baseball; Sirius has NFL, NBA, NHL, and Nascar (Nascar recently switched from XM to Sirius). I particularly like some specific music channels on Sirius, such as Little Steven's Underground Garage and Sirius Disorder.

People argue about which has better sound quality, but the bottom line is (and this is surprising to many) that they're both pretty disappointing. Somewhere between AM and FM radio, but certainly not the CD quality most expect. They have very limited bandwidth, and they both stuff as many channels in as they possibly can.

That is disappointing to hear. I have never owned satellite radio, but planned on getting it when my new G comes in. I always figured it would be CD quality sound. That sux!

You get used to it--sort of. Satellite radio is still far better than terrestrial given the variety and the lack of commercials on the music channels (they still have commercials on the talk channels, though). Also, the sound quality will likely be a bit better on an OEM unit than one of the aftermarket ones. (And if you use an aftermarket receiver with an FM transmitter rather than a direct connection, the sound is horrendous.)
