Are you Sirius????? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

In order to get Sirius, you'll need to purchase it as an individual option.

Neither XM nor Sirius as separate options are available with the Navigation Package. The Navigation Package includes XM, and both XM and Sirius into one cаr won't go. Even were it technically possible, the XM and Sirius licensing agreements with Nissаn probably don't allow for dual installations.

If you want to get Sirius separately, you need to lose the Nav Pkg.

Once you get the Nav Pkg, you only get XM.

From 08 MY, there is no Sirius option anymore !

You get XM because of the traffic info it provides.

Does anyone know if its possible to install Sirius and use the factory radio to control it even though you have the navigation system? Or would I have to get an after market Sirius receiver? I would not subscribe to XM or the traffic service.

I think it is possible if anyone ever puts out a converter from XM to Sirius for Infiniti. Besides that, i plan on getting the Portable Stiletto and using the AUX inputs in the main console to hook something up.

They told me same thing. Did you know that XM charges an additional (and separate) price for the NAV Traffic? I found this all out the day I was to pick up my new G. I was quite upset as I love my Sirius. I am hoping to find a work-around.

Of course XM does! Im not even interested in the traffic @ all. I think that the Stiletto or converting it would work. Any idea where the XM "brain" might be in the car?

I've just posed this same question to my local dealer. He said he thinks it is possible, but he wanted to confirms w/ his techs. I'm not confident.

I just learned of this today and I'm a little dissapointed. I want the NAV, but have no interest in XM or XM Traffic! (ok, the traffic thing does sound cool)

Looks like I may just have to use my current Sirius receiver and FM transmitter in order to listen to Howard.

Use the AUX jacks in the console compartment instead. Better sound quality.

One work-around would be to subscribe to the XM traffic service and not the XM radio service. The traffic service costs more that way than if combined with XM radio, but if you wouldn't be listening to XM radiio anyway, it's still a net savings. And who knows? During your three-month trial subscription to XM radio, you may learn to love it.
