What do yall think about 07 g35 White with 22s and tint
This thread is getting way out of hand for a simple 22'' wheel.
IMO why would the OP ask our opinions on 22's for a sports sedan...?? thats like me asking what r ur opinions for 20's on my SI Hatchback......some people will say HELL YEA GET THEM and OBVIOUSLY most people are gonna criticize and say they look awful.....i mean c'mon..I think Punishers car looks good on those Velanos...havent seen it in person but the pics look good so this is the only source i have for 22'' wheel on a 2007 G35.
Lets looks at the pros and cons of 22' on a G35
Cons
-Less tire = alot more road noise (i dont care what any of you say)
-Can easily bend a wheel and spend more money
-22' tires are not exactly cheap and youll find your self buying them more often you would any other size tire < 22''
-Harsh ride and you feel everything on the road
-In some cases if you dont have the right off set you might have fitment issue, rubbing etc
-Price...if you aint got the $$$ then dont put your self in that position
Pros
-they look cool
-you can buy one of those kick a$$ rhinostoned 22'' decal and put it on the side of your front fender

To help the OPS, and to build up from what you stated. This is what i experienced in my upgrade:
2006 Chrysler 300C - upgrade from Factory 18" wheels to 22" wheels
CONS:
1. Worsened fuel economy - You have to pay to play
2. Longer braking distance - No problem, i upgraded my 300C brakes
3. Acceleration is worsened - No problem, car is fast enough
4. Added strain on mechanicals, joints - No problem, the 300C is built pretty tough
PROS:
1. Fills the car out very nicely, looks hot. I got stopped many times even by cops complementing my ride.
2. The harsher ride actually improved the feel of the car, and I was able to corner alot better considering the car is 4200lbs!
3. No rubbing, no issues.
Now if you are going 22" on a g35, couple of points:
1. Not sure how thin the side wall is going to be.
2. Not sure how strong the suspension, drivetrain components will cope with the heavier wheels.
3. Not sure how the VDC is going to react
4. There maybe rubbing
Hope that helps, and thats from my experiences on 22's

I always think, "they must have a self image problem, trying too hard to be cool. Or a Midget.
" 22's are played out and trendy. It's never been 'cool' to have huge wheels in my book, it looks silly and make the car look like a cheap toy. I see old farts with over sized wheels in my area all the time, everytime I see a SUV with 24's, It make me laugh and cry at the same time, You know they NEVER go (or can go anymore) off road, any decent sized pot hole is gonna ruin the wheels with the small sidewall, they just need a land tank to show off their money. The only Reason I have a big SUV is to haul the six kids and my Girl around, and tow the Dirtbike trailer into the desert. I'm More impressed by someone who's spent the $$$ on a nice BBK, than some Gaudy, Flashy overly big wheels. my .02 cents. To the OP, In short, Don't do it, unless you don't mind being made fun of by anyone with half a brain.

Half a brain? Self image problem? Man you sound like you have HALF a brain.
Its a matter of taste. But to insult the owner directly for having 22's, makes you look even worse than those with 22's and 24's. How do you consider them cheap when a good set of 24's costs about 4x the cost of a good set of 18's?
Anyhow. to the OPs like i said if you like them do it. Some people dont like them some people do. I personally like how they look on the g35, compared to doing the whole black rims with chrome lip thing that most people do.

Here's something to think about:
Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.
I can hang a 22lb weight from my d*&k, but I'm not going to. Sure it may become 5" longer but will it work better or worse/not at all.
Just like putting the 22"s on the G. They may look impressive but the car just won't work as well.
I think we're flogging the horse long after it's dead.
