2007 G35 Sedan Sport Winter Setup

Anyone figure one out yet? I did some calculations and if I downsize, it looks like I'd need 225/55/17 and 245/50/17.

Does any manufacturer make a combo? Also have we found out offsets yet so we can clear the brakes?

Any info would be helpful.

You will be a lot better off w/o a staggered setup for winter.
Wider on the back can be a real pain in the snow.

Are you getting winter wheels or mounting on OEMs?

I'm looking at getting a set of 17" winter wheels. 17's are cheaper and I won't mess up my nice OEMs.

What would you recommend?

I don't think it is a problem running 225/55R17 snow tires all around. You could then rotate front to back each year. For snow you are always better to run a bit narrower tire so why run wider tires on the back. That is what I would run.

^+1 that's what I'd get as well.

Awesome, how about offsets, anyone know what they are yet, so we can clear the new bigger brakes and rotors?

Tire Rack recommends 215/55-17's, with rims, they cost $888. The odd thing is when you click the recommended rims, there aren't any for the 2k7 G35, regardless of which package (sport, journey std.). So something is wrong and I wouldn't buy them without speaking to a rep to see what the deal is.

There is something very odd about the wheels/tires on the new G35. I still don't get why it rides on 50's on the front and 45's in the rear, that's very tall for this day and age.

Bro, are you going to pull the trigger or what?

My dealer called me again to let me know they have some more 07's ready for test driving...

You coming up, or what?

Anyone know if my 17" sport wheels from my 2004 G35 Sedan would work as a winter setup on the 2007 G35 Journey? Is the bolt pattern the same? Will I have enough clearance for the brakes?

Thanks!
