Or at least that's what it says on the the bar graph on the screen in the dash.

Mostly driving back and forth to work. Commute is about 1/2 stop and go crawling along in bumper to bumper traffic and the other is 50-60 mph highway.

Not bad MPG so far.

That is a good start.....actual mpg's might be different, but it's a good indicator.

The last tank I got 21 mpg most of it highway. It looks like the '07 gets about 4 mpg less then the '03.

That's curious considering the 07 has minorly better EPA estimates. I wonder how they even test their car. I'm avging 16.5 btw with mixed driving and about 450 miles on the odometer

I got around 23.9 mpg on my drive from Raleigh to Charlotte today. It was down in the low teens but quickly recovered.

Be sure to measure that against what you calculate at the pump

Mileage calculated by the car computer's are notoriously optimistic, usually generous by 1 mpg or 2.

Even checking at the pump isn't going to show the actual MPG. I was reading in the paper how pumps don't give you exactly what they say. The majority give you more gas than what is displayed, while some will give you less.

yea but then who cares? The only reason MPG counts is because it determines how much money you are spending relatively...as long as the pump is consistent, it doesn't matter how accurate it is.

There's no way the pump can fail you...fill the tank to the brim...then drive around and use miles driven and gas needed to refill to the brim...UNLESS, ur odometer is off too....

But yea...I'm not doing too well on the MPG, I do have a X though.

From my experience with the G35, the optimal MPG is really achieved after about 10k, my '05 now gets a consistent 19-20 mpg city/some in town freeway driving, it will get better!

Is good for a new G.
Mine has 30 K miles.
Yesterday I did 32 mpg, per NAV display, on a 45 mile freeway stretch from El Toro to LAX. Doing 70 mph in that stretch; cruise control on. RPM ~ 2600.
07 should be able to match that.
