He probably just doesn't want to be subject to anymore criticism...

Slick must be gone to another board where they might be gullible enough to believe all of his amazing deals He just dissappeared.

Well the whole situation seemed to point to that.

That is likely true.

If one makes incredible claims they can be expected to be examined.

Well when you make claims like he did Alex, I think that opens you up to some criticism. I tried to be objective through it all, but nothing added up in the end.

True, true...halfway through his thread I thought there was something outrageous about his claims. This from a kid who was apparently going to be given a 35K+ car from his father. And then was going to turn it down for and even more expensive car (Lexus GS). Makes me ill thinking about it...

Shane, totally agree. Just assuming its the reason he hasn't returned.

Actually, I'm going to have to defend Slick...while I don't know the validity of his first deal (the $35k Sport), he did mention another exceptional deal to me (could be the second one mentioned by Shane), which I personally checked out...it was legit! I was actually at the dealer this Saturday and almost sealed the deal, but got upset when the salesman tried to hit me with a $270 documentation fee, so I walked out. The deal was still amazing even with the fee, but it just annoyed me that he didnt mention it till the end, so I left.

I ended up using that deal to leverage another one at a different dealer without the fee and signed an order for the car....got a ridiculous price! Couldn't have done it without Slick's help. I know you guys want the numbers, but I don't want to jinx myself and I'll share them once I take delivery (either Wednesday or Friday).

As to where he went, last I spoke to him (last Friday), he decided to keep his '05 TL and forego the G35.

Hunh...that's interesting. Well I'm glad for your sake it was legit and I apologize for thinking he was just blowing hot air. You have to admit it didn't seem like things were adding up. When you have the deal done, let us know what model/color combo you decided to go with.

I agree...I much like everyone else was very skeptical. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't call the dealer myself. Even tho he hasnt been around recently, I just figured I'd give credit where credit is due.

About my car...funny thing is that I was pretty set on Plat.Graphite or Blue Slate (if I did graphite interior) and Lakeshore Slate or S. Sand (if I did wheat), but then I saw the Ivory Pearl in person and was mesmorized and had to have it. Needless to say, I hope to soon become the owner of an IP G35.

Sweet...post pics when you get it. IP is one of the colors I'm deciding on as well. IP, Black, and Blue Slate.

LOL, It isn't named Garnet Canuck for no reason at all!

Too flashy for me I think. I don't know I haven't seen it in person yet.

LoL ... Well, every deal I got ended up being true and all those people who believed me, I tried to help them by being kind and asking my dealer if they'd be willing to offer the deal to friends and they said, "OK." I didn't have to help anyone out because everyone seemed to think I was lying, but I'm a nice guy.
