RCA plugs in console?

I could have sworn I saw three RCA plugs in the middle console in the compartement with the flip up lid.But since they don't have DVD(at least I don't think they do) what are they for? Or am I mistaken? It was an 07 black g35S.

It has the ability to play dvds, if you attach a dvd player to it And only while the car is in park. Right now I use it to hook up my ipod and my sirius.

What are you using to interface the ipod with the RCA jacks? I am trying to figure out what I am going to, ultimately I would like something that allows you to charge it and has the RCA outputs, but I don't know if such a device is available.

If you just use the headphone jack, I guess that also means I could just plug my macbook into it, and have an 80GB ipod, I have it with me most of the time for work any ways

I bought a $29 Monster cable headphone to dual audio cable from Frys (yes, $29 was too much, but having just bought a $35k car an hour before, that was okay ).

The charger would have to be separate anyway, right? Only USB or straight power charges - so will either look for a special kit, or have one of my EEs wire one for me

That's what I thought, but was wishing you could get charger/RCA out in the same package... oh well.

You'll have to get a seperate cable for the RCA plugs (headphone jack output to RCA inputs) and a seperate charger to plug into the Apple proprietary jack to power outlet. You can also get a dock although the dock will have to be connected the same way. Some third party docks (Griffin TuneCenter or DLO Homedock) allow you to interface with the iPod through the video out and remote control. In such a setup, you won't need to scroll through music on the iPod itself but can see the music menu interface on the video screen.
