Autotrans observation at 1200 miles...
Eh, 1164, but whose counting right? Been revving the engine a bit more as I approach the 1200 mile mark. Today the autotrans allowed a downshift to 7,000 rpms. Fast as lightning. Sounded great too. The sport mode continues to amaze with its telepathic downshifts.
I test drove a 335i twice for a total of about 45 minutes. I still say this autotrans gives up nothing to the beemer's.

FYI, brakes are the instrument designed to slow the car. They are also more effective doing that compared to the transmission and much less expensive to replace/repair.

You and the Prius owners have something in common: all that sensibility. Do you time stoplights as well?

I'm comfortable knowing my driving school experience has helped teach me the proper way to drive a car safely and quickly.
Sensibility is a good thing. I don't own one but I haven't got anything against people who drive Prius' or that drive efficiently as long as they're not unduly affecting my travel. BTW, I drive a 6mt.
Hope you enjoy the car and be safe.

You must have heard that from the same person who told you to downshift your AT at 7000 rpm.
I must say you're pretty good at making a lot of A$$umptions about me and my driving style.

Learning a little respect for your car would help too.
Watch the wisecracks, we don't need arguments here

Anyway, I think I'll bail. But feel free to stay. Maybe there's someone else out there open to certain unsolicited driving tips...
