Not sure if if like my x's suspension. Seems a little "boaty," at least as compared to my 2003, which had the regular suspension.

Funny thing. First day or so I thought the car felt taut. Now seems to be very compliant, (maybe too compliant,) and the steering seems somewhat vague. A couple of very fast passing manuveurs on the hwy didn't feel as secure as I remember my 2003 being. Not quite sure about it yet.

A word to the wise.

 

I haven't driven the X but I can tell you my S is alot stiffer then my '03 was but in a good way. I thought my '03 handled well when I first bought it but my S handles even better.

 

The funny thing is, I haven't figured out why it feels uncertain. The car doesn't lean. The suspension is very compliant, but it doesn't really float or bounce over dips.

I wonder about the tires? I ought to check the pressure.

 

The 07 X I drove felt supple and cornered really well- not as good as the S, which between a stiffer suspennsioin and the larger rubber is outstanding, but way better than I expected, and better than my old G.

 

The X could be easily stiff up a bit with Sedan Sport Springs,

I did it on my 4 corners, that also gives modest 0.5" drop. Don't know about the 07, if teh springs are interchangable.

 

And that's the reason that albeit the harsh winters here in New England, I won't go with the X...
