Burning smell
FYI, the product is called Cosmoline - it's a rust protectant all Japanese manufacturers use prior to shipping. It burns off in the first 1500-2000 miles or so and smells sort of like a chemical-ish burning rubber.

I am just glad that it will go away and my car was not the only one doing it! My grandmother thought the car was going to burn to the ground while it was in her driveway last weekend, she was more concerned then I was. I figured if it did I would get a new car and payments would probably vanish, not a bad thing

I have noticed the smell is less pungent now, I have about 500 miles on the G now.
