It depends where you live and how many dealers are near. April / May is the prime selling season for dealers in my part of Canada.

In general, summer has usually been a good time to purchase. Next summer, Infiniti should have plenty of stock at most dealerships and they will have the '08 sedans coming out shortly. It should be much easier at that point to talk them down.
-BUT some people seem to be getting close to invoice even now if they are able to work deals off several local dealers. There are so many variables, you can't just say something like "In April 2007, you can buy a G35 for invoice".
What you can say is that the longer you wait, the better chance you have of getting the best deal.

It would be a nice change if you guys in the US pay $50k for a new G and we pay $35k!

Interesting thought Shane. The US dollar is beginning to and expected to tank in the world currency market this year and our dollar is expected to strengthen further. It will be interesting to see how that plays out in the future, as well as the obvious unfavorable disparity we now face.

I do think for the CDN price we have to watch the Yen as well as the US$. The prices in Canada may drop over time but not within the next few years.

That is true. I was speaking more about the comparison ratio of our prices versus the US prices. The car price gap between the two countires is expected to narrow before taking into account currency flucuations.

Dealer in Cincinnati had an unveiling Tuesday night. With the invitation was a letter mentioning special pricing. I asked at the event. Salesman said it was good for $2000 off MSRP. With the options I'm considering, that is $1000 over invoice.
