Gotta tell ya Shane, that red is the best. I wanted one so bad, but none of the dealers in my area had one coming in with the options that I wanted. So I compromised on color.

I've seen all the pics of your car and that color looks great in all conditions. Oh....and it is amazing on all the looks you get isn't it?

I've had mine since Wednesday and I've had 2 comments (1 from and Audi driver and one from a BMW) and multiple stares in parking lots. In fact today at the gym, I saw a couple walk up to it and do a walk around.

Good. This tells me the Infiniti is getting recognized by the masses for their well earned hard work. This car is absolutely stunning and deserves every look it receives.

The GE sure does have a split personality. Today it was sunny and I really noticed how bright of a red it is in the sun. I could also see the metallic in the paint since it was sunny.....I never noticed this before since it has been cloudy every day since I got the car. On darker days, it appears to be a lot deeper red. I honestly couldn't be happier with this color and it sure does turn heads.

I think this new G looks great in all colors too.

Hey Mike. Well, my car sat in my garage from 6 consecutive days due to crappy road conditions. I think you got pretty much the same snow as I did so I am sure you had some fun with your X. Yesterday, I was tired of just sitting in it I couldn't take it anymore......I took it for a couple hour drive. The roads were still a little wet and sandy but I had too much fun to really care. I took it for another drive today and brought it home and gave her a nice bath. I can't wait until this darn winter is over so I can drive it every day!

Btw, I have 846 KMs on it now and have averaged 12.4 KM/100L, which is almost 23 MPG. Not all that bad for a new engine.

I will pass you in the kms in another week Shane . I only have 400+ on it now, but by next weekend I should be caught up. Your gas mileage is much better than mine but I have been really varying the RPMs most of the time,

What kind of gas mileage are you getting Wayne? I have been varying the RPMs as well and have certainly not babied the throttle at all.

With my driving you really can't count on it Shane. Like yesterday on the highway, when no one was behind me I might slow down to 70 km/h for a few minutes next I might be up to 150 for a minute or two than back down to 80. During break-in that is the way I drive it, I constantly am varying my speeds, but I rarely go the same speed for more than 5 minutes, and I try to keep it under 4,000 rpm. When I do it, it is gradual speed increases and no hard stopping. My cars have always performed great after breaking them in this way so I continue to do it this way for the first 2,000 kms. Yesterday when I got home I believe the fuel consumption was 11.? on the read-out, I never pay much attention to it during break-in.

If you are getting 11.something, you are doing very well.

Shane, I just ran outside and turned the dash info screen on to see what mileage was averaged at, and it said 11.9 L/100km.

I'm wondering if Shane is still frozen in his driveway from washing his car? Man, my fingers were getting chapped putting up lights, that's usually a sign I was washing my car!
LS is like that too Shane, some lighting makes the color lighter, on a cloudy day it seems darker, makes the car different all the time, IMO! I like!

We actually had a mild day here today (+7C), so it wasn't too bad washing the G and the Q.

Glad you had nice weather to wash and pamper your new G Shane, I really hope I can wash my car later this week, we'll see!
