I found the blockheater, it is on the right side of the engine bay. Looks like you won't have to buy a blockheater after all Wayne.

That is a strange place to put the block heater, will you be able to plug the car in and close the hood?

Not sure yet but I plan on taking a closer look in daylight tomorrow. I can't imagine plugging not being able to close the hood when it's plugged in.

I popped the hood and it was not where Shane's was, it was exactly the location you said Christian in your above quote It is ty-wrapped down there so it won't get mis-placed. .Easily accessable if you want to plug it in (once you know where it is )

My MPG is a lot worse than I thought it would be. Very disappointing to only get 17 mpg.

I would imagine your location will work great for you anyways Shane since you keep yours in the garage and you can just pop the hood and plug her in if you plan on going for a spin in the frigid months .

Yeah, I am not too concerned with it. I never once used the block heater in over three years of ownership with my 03 G. Both of my vehicles are garaged every single night so it's not really an issue.

I'm not sure how much you care about weight or how weight much it adds to the vehicle...since you don't use it, remove it. I would or at least I would try. I'm not sure how easy it would be to remove.

When I sold my 03 one of the questions was, "Does it have a block heater?" I never use it but I'm keeping it in.

Hey Alex, a block heater doesn't weigh more than a 1/4 -1/2 pound and the wiring a little more than that. It's a huge pain to remove it and put a plug in it's place and would have to be replaced before the lease return.

Shane, I thought your garage was unheated and uninsulated?
