^^ I've never really seen a point for TV's in a car period, especially when it would be such a distraction. Kinda like PS2's and video game systems in the car. If you have a minivan or an SUV with a TV in back for the kids, that I can see, but otherwise, be safe when you're driving and don't risk it. Thats why Bluetooth and handsfree devices were made, to make it easier to talk on the phone while driving. Thats already distracting enough, if someone's watching TV thats extra danger I don't want from other drivers.

I know it is just wishful thinking, but I personally hope that no hack will become available to allow this while the vehicle is in motion.
i'm installing an hd-projector on the back end of my ride and i've installed a screen that covers the entire windshield...its only for my passengers though, i've cut two eye holes in the screen to see out of so we should be set...plus i have my rearview and side mirrors so i won't be a danger to others on the road.

i 100% agree that watching movies (passenger or not) is a HORRIBLE idea on a screen mounted in the dashboard...its precisely why its illegal. The whole argument of "i've seen a family guy episode before so i can laugh along without watching" is patently absurd.

^^^ HAHAHAHA I was actually thinking that the next big "Pimp My Ride" thing will be a Plasma or LCD screen mounted on the windshield with CAMERA'S on the front bumper hahahaha

What's more dangerous? Playing a dvd on the center screen while driving or a female talking on a cell while driving?

Playing a DVD while driving is more dangerous because not only does it distract your sound senses it also distracts your visual senses

I disagree, Ive always owned a 7.5" LCD monitor hooked up to my DVD player, my passengers watched movies on road trips, I just listened. I never had a problem with it or even thought about looking at the screen, I actually thought it was quite amusing even though I was not watching it.

The man asked a question and I think it should be answered without him having to explain anything to any of you. Im sure eventually well be able to surpass that park/parking brake thing.

Sorry man, but you are asking a question regarding an unsafe driving activity that just happens to be illegal. Of course people are going to voice their opinions.
