Different Suspension?

Does the Sport model REALLY have a different suspension or are people assuming it does? No where in the specs does it mention anything about a different suspension. It doesn't even say it is "sport tuned" or anything like that. The sales rep I spoke to says it does but where is he getting that information from? Is he too guessing that it does just because it is a "sport" model.

Yes, the Sport Model DOES have a sport tuned suspension.

I believe you... and the sales rep... and everyone else who says it does. I've only driven a sport and have not test driven a journey so I have nothing to compare it to. But... where does it actually say that is has a different suspension. I'd assume at the very least on the window sticker it should state that, right? I don't remember seeing it mentioned there but I might be wrong...

I have a dealer spec sheet that was sent to me back in the summer when I ordered, and it indicates that the Sport model has a sport tuned suspension and a sport tuned VDC. Not sure why it is not indicated anywhere else.

I've test driven both, the Sport absolutley has a different suspension. The Journey is tight, but the sport steps it up even tighter. I really liked the feel, no mush at all, but it will transfer road imperfections to the driver. Didn't bother me, but might bother some who are looking for a Lexus road isolation type feel.

I noticed this when I put 19" rims on mine. It's kind of odd because when you slowly drive over uneven pavement the 19" wheels want to follow the contours of the road to the point that the steering wheel will actually move left and right following the road. The 19's make the OEM 17"s feel like marshmellows.

I wonder what's actually different on the sport suspension? Different shocks, springs? I know the sport has larger rotors on the front and probably different calipers.

I test drove all three (Sport/AWD/Journey) and I can assure you that the Sport model has a dirty goody under those fenders.

Good to know there is some official document out there that explicitly states the suspension is different. I too wonder why this isn't stated on the general specs. But alas - that's the way it is. Like Railgunner, I am curious what exactly is different about them. Different brand? Same shocks - differently tuned?
