327-hp G35 for the Middle East

The new G35 has just been released for the Middle East market.

The main difference is thats its 327 hp, probably because of lower SAE standards here, anyway I doubt it will perform much better cause of the hot weather we have here

This is the official Middle East Infiniti G35 page http://www.infiniti-me.com/gsedan/index.htm

please tell me if you see any notable differences I am probably buying one soon

I notice one big thing missing: no navigation yet... the dealer said it will be optional in the mid 2007 models.

yeah just noticed that.

I know 6800 rpm is peak for horsepower, thats probably what they are trying to say rather than having the red line at 6800 rpm.

I can't wait to get some free time to go check it out. I am glad we're getting the 18-inch wheels and the peddle shifters.

jaljal, could you please tell me about the price and where are you from. I am very interested in one as well. I live in Kuwait BTW.

Welcome, JalJal.....
It just might be that an increase in hp could be realized due to lower emissions standards......

As you say tho, any increase could be negated by hotter/drier ambient conditions.

G/L with your purchase.... Whether with 327 hp or the original 260 hp, it's still a remarkable ride....

Thanks guys,

I'm from Bahrain Nankw83. Dealer haven't given me a final price yet but its around BD13,000-14,000( $34,000-$37,000). Yeah glad we got the 18" rims and paddle shifters too .

Haven't seen the car personally yet Dr.Shark... My dealer says it shipment is arriving this week and he promised me I will be seeing it next week. Im trying to get it before Eid holiday

I went to the Infiniti dealer today here in Kuwait and they had one 2007 G35 and one M45 in their showroom. I have seen the M when I was in the US and it is extremely nice ride but it's out of my budget and it's actually a little big for me. However, it was the first time for me to see the new G and it actually looks much better in real than in pics. The interior is very nice as well. Quick things that I noticed are the car in the showroom did not have heated seats so I am assuming we'll not get this option, no sports seats, only beige interior with the wood trim, but we have one option that the US market does not have which is front and rear parking sensors.

The sticker price for the G35 was 11,750 KD ($40,500) and 15,750 KD for the M45 ($54,300). I am pretty sure the prices will drop a little after a while and I may just hold on my purchase until nav system becomes available.

I read about the G35 in Kuwait. Seems a bit overpriced, if you are in no rush to get the car then better wait a bit and get one with nav.

As for me, I doubt I will need the nav.. I already know Bahrain roads by heart since its so small . I saw a few pictures of the Kuwait G35 , the one in the showroom is Diamond Graphite (Silver) which were on the pictures, noticed the no heated seats.. Dont think we even need that option with our weather conditions hehe. Maybe cooling seats will be nice.

I hope I get to see the car in person by next week and make my final decision about which color to get.

Which rating standard is being used? On another forum someone reported that much looser standards were being used in the Mid-East, so the actual output might be the same.

I'm sure the standards are much looser here, not sure what rating standard is used.

And yes it comes with parking sensors
