I don't think I would even compare Subaru with Infiniti, they are in different leagues if you ask me. The WSX looks like a little boy's car. Same thing with the EVO, I mean come on... it's a Mitsubishi Lancer with some *****. Maybe if I were a 20 year old rich kid in the "lucky sperm club" I would see things differently.
And all of these BMW owners really need to get off their high horses as well. The new G35 is better then the BMW 330i and is comparable to the 335i in every way possible. I would hardly say purchasing a G35 is a downgrade.
Anyhow, I came from a 2005 G35 coupe. It had everything I wanted actually but due to unfortunate events, it was recently totaled in an accident. I picked up the 2007 G35x (fully loaded) and couldn't be happier. It has more toys and class then my previous G, and she's faster too. I have been a big fan of Infiniti ever since my Dad picked up the M35x in 2005. I think the new G took a lot from the M to be honest, and I'm glad.
The car to look out for is the new G37 and the twin turbo version coming out after that (500hp). This car will school an M3 and will be more of an apples to apples comparison anyhow.

I came out of a '94 BMW 540i, with 120,000 miles. I owned it for 10 years, and 100k miles. It was a fantastic driver, but I was amazed at the mechanical failures that it experienced (punctuated by a tranny that started to go bad at 97k, and was barely drivable when I sold it).
A few years ago, I test drove the first generation G35 and a TL, but neither had enough to get me out of the bimmer...I'm glad I waited.

This is my first post to this forum. My G35 sport with tech will arrive tomorrow.
I am switching from an '06 M3 (only driven 5200 miles). The main reason for the switch is that I need a sedan since I have a baby. Downgrade or upgrade? Not sure and don't really care but I'm happy with what I'm going to get tomorrow.
