Question Nav/ System Control Boot up problems?

My first post!!! Got the '07 Sport w/ Premium and Nav.. Graphite Ext. and Slate Int..

I hate this to have to be my first post, because I LOVE this car, but...

...is anyone having issues with the Nav Screen hanging and taking a long time to boot up? Sometimes immediate and other times 2-3 minutes later?

This is frustrating because I can't control anything until it boots up. No Climate control, Audio Control or Nav. I can't even use the manual controls on the consol until the Nav screen comes to life....

It doesn't seem to be a bluetooth issue or Compact flash, as I have tried it w/ and without them.

It is not consistent. Anyone else?

Where geographically are you located? If you are in very cold temps, it will take a minute or two for the HD to boot up.....which is where all the Navi/Musicbox software is located.

True, if it is very cold then the disk drive will have a hard time booting right away. So far at 32 degrees mine has been working great!

The coldest it has gotten here when I have started my car is -8C or 18F and I haven't had any problems either. I remember Christian mentioning that his took a minute or two to boot up when his weather was extremely cold.

Take out the navi disc, check for dirt/lint/whatever....and re-insert it.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, it's dealer time.....

I would definitely take it in and get them to take a look at it. With those temps, you shouldn't have any problems.
