I have a 13 month old boy and a forward facing car seat. I put it in the center first and if blocked my rear view a bit which is not good with a baby in the car, right? The center hump in the seat puts him up too high, plus he's harder to get in and out. Then I moved it to the passenger side rear and he fits perfectly. He has plenty of room, he's easy to get in and out, and I can see him fairly easily. The rear doors opens 80 degree and makes it a snap. The restraint that hooks to the rear tie down is a bit of a problem. It goes over the head rest and it creases the head rest, but what are you going to do?

Baby are going to make messes no matter what. Leather is great for kids and every model have a similar grade of seats so don't sweat it. I'm a neat freak and I've had zero problems so far.
