Just curious of anyone knows what the RPM is when the car hits the ECU speed limit.

4 - 1.000
5 - 0.839

Reverse 2.764
Final Drive 3.692

That's an amazing first gear for an auto, especially coupled with that final drive.

Previous rides (a v8 auto mustang comes to mind) had a first gear ratio of 2.45:1 and was only a 4 speed a/t. (3.27 f/drive)

No wonder these rides get out of the hole quickly and yield excellent 0-60 times....

Here is a link to calculate speed/rpm. The site does say it is not 100% accurate. Sorry if it has been posted before.

According to the link, you can hit 69.5 MPH in 2nd gear at redline (obviously in optimum conditions), Has anyone tried to wind out 2nd gear, can you actually hit 60MPH in real world acceleration?

Maybe I should re-phrase my question:

Say I floored my 5AT on the highway until it hits the ECU speed governor. What will my RPM be at?

Of course, I'm not saying go out and do it ... but if you already have, please share.
