It’s been a long wait, but my first production shipment came in. I placed an ad in the appropriate section of this forum:

Thanks to everyone for your patience.

Congrats on the final production version! I've been waiting for this and wanting to get it, but at the same time, I find myself relying on the tactile feedback of the button surface when I lock my car. Sometimes I'm unsure if I've pressed the button on the door handle already, or a passenger had to enter/exit the car while I'm already far away from it. So I'd reach into my pocket and "feel" for the lock button. Still, a great buy! I wonder if the new keys coming this fall will have the same shape.

I made sure the vinyl window is thin enough so you can still feel the buttons and black ribs between the buttons. Hopefully some users will post if they are satisfied or not. Plus, the cover is quickly removable so you can access the valet key.

I'm guessing Infiniti / Nissan will keep the same shell so they don't have to re-tool. If anything, the printed circuit board assy will change, but will still fit inside the shell.

The final design looks great, congrats!

I was originally very interested in this and never understood why Infiniti didn't offer a nice leather cover, like Lexus does with the IS.

My concern with this design is the possibility of it becoming a lint/dust trap.
Now, my remote sits in my right front pocket and nothing else ever touches it.
It remains like day one... perfect condition.
Putting it in a cover like this, with the wide opening, causes it to hold dust and lint particles, which can then work their way into the buttons.

I congratulate you on your hard work and please don't take this as criticism.
If you can rework this and come out with version 2.0 offering a much smaller opening, I'm first in line.

Thanks for your hard work.... work Infiniti never thought of.

Thanks for your input ... I welcome all comments.

I'm not sure what you mean by wide opening. The only opening is at the bottom where the ikey slides into the cover. And that opening (as well as the rest of the cover) is very snug so the ikey won't slide out or spin around. Anything smaller and you won't be able to get the ikey in there.

The front (where the buttons are located) is a clear, thin vinyl window.

I've had my ikey in my pocket using this cover for several months now just to make sure it works. It's been fine so far.

I can access the release through the neoprene to get the key out, so no need to remove the cover at all.

Great seller of nice product.

Terry shipped out the cover to me immediately and it fits very well and looks nice. I'm able to feel the release through the neoprene and don't need to take it off to get the key out for valet.

So far, I've sold 46 from the first batch of 50 covers and was wondering if there is still any interest.

If so, I will make another order from my supplier.

I odered 2 of Terry's a while back & they're doing well. Out of curiosity I also ordered 1 of these in blue (there's a small opening in the back for the key release).
