YET another new impatient G owner

Hello all Glad to have finally Joined the Forum. I have currently put down a deposit on a 07' Sport with pre/tech/nav/spoiler Diamond Pearl/Graphite, Auto. I currently own + drive a 04 G35 that i have in Dubai, and i must say that the moment i stepped inside the new G (when they came out early november) i instantly knew that this car was an upgrade in every aspect imaginable. Once i test drove it on the highway and the sales rep let me unleash it i was drooling (for 2 reasons..1- 7 1/2 RPM 2- HP + TORQUE gains). After thinking about it for the next 2 months , i pulled the trigger and ordered the best possible G i could get. Ive also been reading in these threads since the car dropped and am shocked of how happy and pleased every one has been especially homeboy in Canada with the Garnet Red .. ANYWAYS as soon as i my vehicle hits the ground hopefully befor Feb i will post pics with the installed front lip from Japan thats already been ordered.

As far as all the BS with the comparisons to the TL, 335, and IS. Heres the bottom line after test driving all of them befor i remained loyal to my Nissan Roots...

TL type S- Front wheel drive, not nearly the same options available, too ricy looking, too pricy for what you get, NAV screen is blurry..and i hate HONDA.

335I - Amazing car , too much money, I DRIVE = night mare

IS350- Too small interior, Outside is too girly, Price is too much with all the tech options

G35s- Best bang for the buck, in every catagory. I got a fully loaded G out the door for $39,500. might not be the best deal but its under 40 and im happy with that.

Glad you are excited about your new G. Now the waiting begins. It shouldn't be that bad though. Welcome to Driver.

Shane, that sounds like you big guy. I guess your happiness with your G is contagious.

Congrats on the purchase!! How long before you get it.......3 months or so? Did you test drive the G in Dubai or in Florida?

And yes, I am VERY pleased with my beautiful red baby!

When i originally went to the dealer to describe how i want my g the slaes man looked on the computer to see if one was incomming with the equipment and color. He saw one and said typically " OMG MAN THIS IS YOUR CAR" and found one exaclt how i want it. So he told me its on a boat coming from Japan and EST was in january. After going back and forth to the dealer i finally got the deal i wanted and put the down payment. After the SOB got my money he comes to me and says that now the system shows that the vehicle is still in Japan!!!! so im like WTF!!! but whatever ill get it when i get it... as far as test drives, i test drove it here in Ftlauderdale. I only got to test drive a basic model not even sport and i was very impressed. Balance, handling, power, interior is all top notch, and now with all the tech goodies i ordered ill probably live in my car lol

I saw a male driving a black IS the other day. Boy did he think he was the s**t. I wanted to smack that stupid grin off of his face. Plus he was being a menace to traffic.

Infiniti makes a damn fine car, but a real enthusiast will drive something like an enzo.

Best thing I've read in a while is that RL is banned!! I don't know how I missed that.

Stupid? Nissan's foundation has always been with sportyness in mind....look at the maximas,z's,240's,200sx, GT-R....and i think the skyline in japan is the sportiest 4 door...now Inifiniti just happens to be their luxury branch....but THE G35 is true to the nissan sport DNA. .....so like i said befor IS is for LAME drivers..probably someone like you since your so quik to defend it in a Infiniti forum...
