Do people confuse your G with a M?

Every single person that has approached me since I got my G in Nov. has asked me how I like my new M... does anyone else get that? I tell them its a 2007 G35x then they ask why I didn't get the 45... I guess they both have a "house" look, but its not like my car is debadged or anything.

I've gotten random strangers simply asking me, "What the heck is that?"

No - but as I look around for other '07 Gs, I sometimes have to take a second look at Ms to tell the difference (the headlights throw me off - I'm so ashamed...)

Two brand new G35s have shown up within the last week at my university and I am so friggen' JEALOUS! But no, I haven't confused it with the M. Although the new G35 sedan is a great looking car and a perfect evolution of the first, I have loved the design of the M since its inception and still prefer it over the new sedan.

Embarrased to admit this, but I actually seen an M coming at me and thought it was a G. The sad thing is that I have a 07 G.

From the front, I've mistakened two M's for G's already

yeah, they are similar, and to folks not intimately acquainted can look the same. When I was browsing the lot looking for my model, I walked up to a few M's thinking they were a G at first. :-o

Still happens to me, too. I just try and look for the lower fog lights. When I think it's a G, I get excited. But when I find out it's the M, I feel special and unique.

I have to admit, I've gotten excited to see another 07 driving toward me only to find out that I was looking at an M.

You gotta look at the lines at the headlights near the hood & grill, that helps.

The only thing i dont like about the M are it's taillights, they are to big and akward, i much prefer the G's
