I am getting a slight musty humid smell for a minute when I turn the AC on every single time. I tried even turning off the AC a few min before I arrive at my destiation. But when I start the car again, I still get that old car AC smell for a few seconds to a minute. But the smell does not linger after about a minute. Still not acceptable for a new car.

One thing that does help with this... turn off your AC a minute or so before turning off the car.

Railgunner, that hasnt worked for me. I have not experienced this problem with any other new car, even a Sentra I bought for my mom.

I had a sour smell a few days ago after shutting the AC off. I have since run the system with AC off and the smell has gone away.

If you leave it on and turn off your car, thats what causes the smell. Just turn it off for a while, and when you turn ur car off, turn off the ac.

The smell is caused by mold and mildew that forms on the evaporater inside the car. When you turn the car off moisture on the evaporator remains and causes the odor.
You can turn off the AC compressor and just let the fan blow for a few minutes before you turn off the car. This will be enough to dry out the Evaporator and reduce the chance of mildew and odor.

^ Exactly what he said. If it's really bad then the dealer can do a service on it. The stuff my dealer uses is called DW2. They basically spray it into the ventilation and it kills any nasty's in there. But the way to avoid it from happening is a couple minutes before you reach your destination to turn the a/c and recirculation off to let the moisture dry out.

haha, mine smelled like a new car!!

But I had this horrible headache the day I picked up my new G. I couldn't tell if it was the toxic new-car fumes getting to me, or the fact that I couldn't really sleep for a few couple days before the big day came hahaha. (or maybe a slight combination of both lol)

Mine has the same problem, so does my FX. When i brought my FX to teh dealer asking about it they told me the same thing that most people are saying here. Just run the fan without the AC for a few min before turning off the car.

Doing that has helped.

its water/moisture build up in the vents. bacteria makes that wonderful smell. use the outside air for a while, itll fade in time.
