does your ac smell

I got a new G back in December and i know it was brand new cuz i had to wait for the longest time. Well sometimes my car when the ac is on it smells really sour. does anybody else get that ?? the ac is on circulation too not fresh air so i know its not from the outside. hmm any help on this smelly situation would be greatly appreciated thanks

I tested my AC during the first week of ownership and I didn't notice any smell. I haven't exactly had the need to put the AC on since.

try turning off your ac and just letting the fan run a few minutes before you shut the car off. moisture builds up if you dont do this so when you turn the ac back on the next time you drive itll smell.

also, try using a charcol in cabin filter.

this usuallly works for us...dont know about the 07 sedans...

if it smells take a little bit of lysol and spray it by the vent under the passenger side leg area and have the a/c on high w/ recirculate mode on.

it'll clean any bacteria inside the vents that is causing a smell

I have been noticing a really strong chemical spell after startup (for up to 15 minutes) this past week, but it seemed to stay even after I turned off the AC. Haven't figured it out yet, but going to have the dealer take a look.

My car has never smelled like anything but freshly cut roses.

(Okay, so maybe that was a tiny exaggeration.)

Mine had a smell as well. I noticed the same thing when I test drove a G35 in the dealer. The dealer said that it's something they put in the car prior to shipping to keep the salt water off during shipment. I took my car to a car wash. The car wash included an "underbody" wash. After that, the smell went away.
