It might, what I would do is at least bring it to the attention of your dealer and show it to them and say I can live with it for now but if it gets worse I want it replaced. Happen to me on a Corvette once and the dealer replaced it.
I've gotten in/out of the car maybe 5 times and i already have creases in the bolster!!!
