The trunk in my 03 was definitely bigger and had a bigger opening as well. If you opt for a non-Navi model, you won't have to worry about the trunk mounted CD Changer cutting into the width of the trunk opening.

Just for comparison sake;

07 G35 13.5 c.u. ft.
07 TL 12.5 c.u. ft.
07 IS350 13.3 c.u. ft.
07 335i Sedan 12.0 c.u. ft.
+1 I've been able to get pack in two big suitcases and a hanging bag. Don't like the fact that the rear seats don't fold down, but it didn't change my plan to buy the car

That's great! It sounds like though the opening is small, no one has had a problem. It might be tough to get a large box in the trunk, but I guess that's why they have rear doors that open 80 degrees to make up for it. I love that feature!

When my sister went to the Dominican Republic in November her suitcase didn't fit in my trunk, so I had to use the back seat instead. This isn't a real big deal for me, but I do wish that I could some how fit my snowboard in the trunk, it rides in the back seat in a board bag.

Considering this is a 300+ HP Sports Sedan that handles like its on rails, trunk space wasn't my top concern. You guys can't expect to have a car in this segment with a trunk that compares to that of a Buick. Besides, the G still has the biggest trunk in its class.

I honestly don't care that much about trunk space. At the end of the day I can get to Lake Louise with a friend and carry all our gear to the hill, and thanks to the AWD and overall performance I remain in control the whole way If I wanted to carry a lot of cargo I would look at a Tacoma or a Titan.

I don't know that it handles like it's "on rails"...more like the old slot cars, that would hang out the back-end in the turns?

Okay okay, maybe rails was the wrong choice of words. The Sport handles pretty damn good though. My MR2 handled like it was on rails.

The X handles like it was on rails especially in the snow with good dedicated winters on.

Agreed! If you need a large trunk buy a Ford Five Hundred. Seriously the G's trunk is fine especially without the CD Changer.

Hey I was at Lake Louise a few years ago motorcycling and RV'ing. Beautiful area!

Yep, it sure is. I lived in Lake Louise for a year and loved it.

Except I froze my butt off going over some mountain on the bike in July no less. But we did find a nice place to stop for a couple of drinks while we waiting for the freezing rain to stop.

Trunk size may be large, but the odd shaping of it makes usable space suck.
Wish it were bigger and the seats folded down. Sucks on road trips with friends or ski trips.

Your trunk will arrive in precisely 1 month, 2 weeks and 6 days!
