Rear Spolier

Well I received my rear spoiler today from DAWN and I have to say it looks great, paint match is really good. Very light weight at just a couple of lbs. Will install it this weekend.

I am interested in seeing how it looks and also let me know how easy/hard it was to intall. How long did it take to get the spoiler once you placed the order?

Good stuff, looking forward to seeing some pictures. I bought an OEM style aftermarket for my 03 and had no issues with it whatsoever. Good luck with the installation..........are you sure you have all the tools you need in that POS garage of yours??

Tools? What tools? I don't need no stinken tools. I figure a little super glue and I'm done.

LOL, sounds like your're all set! Tip: If the super glue doesn't work, try duct tape.

Good idea! And the duct tape is close to the color of my car.

All done! Spoiler installed took about 1 hour. It wasn't that hard at all just make sure to follow the directions. The spoiler is held on by double sided tape and two small screws. The hard part was drilling a hole on top of the trunk lip to pass the wires thru for the brake light.

What you need is:

1. Grease pencil (I didn't have one so I try to do it with masking tape but this didn't work because you need to draw an outline of the spoiler pad.

2. A drill and a couple of bits

3. Tape measurer

4. Hair dryer if cold like me to warm the surface for the tape to stick better.

That's about it other then cleaning the surface and maybe a vacuum.

It fits good, looks good (like factory) quality is excellent and paint color matches very well. As spoliers goes this was was pretty easy and I've done a few.

More pictures......

Also as an FYI... I just checked the oil. After 3,000 miles I was down maybe a 1/4 of a quart and it still looked pretty clean.

I think so but I haven't taken it out of the garage yet to really step back and look at it. I will shortly. Also the car is a mess with the weather we're be having.

I personally think it does as well. I couldn't imagine not having a rear spoiler on my GE Sport......it just wouldn't look the same to me. We've had some crappy weather here as well over the last week. The G hasn't made it out of the garage now in almost two weeks.

Looks factory! I hope they gave you a grommet at least for where the wire feeds thru the drilled hole.
