How do you like your '07's......

How do you like them compared to the '06. I haven't had chance to drive an '07 as yet and I wanted real honest opinions on the cars performance, handling, wind noise inside the car. Any info would be helpful.

Thanxs

I made a brief review back in December and compared a few things on my 07 with my old 03.

I didn't own a first gen. G35, I disliked the interior so much in 04 I ended up with an Acura. The second Gen is all around a better car which is why I traded my Acura in on one. I have no regrets about purchasing it, but I don't think I am going to keep it that long, there are a lot of little things that I don't like and the fuel economy is pathetic - they should have put a 6 speed auto in it pushing 2500RPMs(or less) at 65 MPH.

I have had my 07 for a week now and brought it back to the dealership to get clear armor installed. They gave my a brand new 07 coupe to drive (basically same as 06 model). Both cars are 6MT, and both are very fun to drive. The coupe makes me realize how nice the interior is on my 07 sedan. The only thing better in the coupe is the transmission seems smoother. The clutch seems lighter and going into first is smoother, but the 07 sedan is definitely more powerful, luxurious, has more features. Anyway, can't wait until I get me baby back today.

I had an Acura TL before the new G. I really liked the Acura, but I love the new G.

cool car

Yeah... I never really lliked the G35 sedan but this one blows the old ones away. My engine is still brand new, 100 miles, so I haven't throttled it yet. Got a loaner and it's the old G35... I like the new one much more... I hope the engine feels the same way as the old G35. It was smooth, my engine is still figuring out which gear to stay into... got an AT.

I traded my 2003 G35 Sedan on a 2007... Compared to the '03

'07 Performance is significantly better. Drive Sport (DS) mode in AT is great.

'07 Handling is significantly better.

'07 is quieter but best of all no rattles yet.

'07 interior is nicer except for the carpet and factory floor mats which seem
strangely "thin" and light weight compared to my '03.

'07 interior space is lacking. I really miss a decent sized compartment behind the shifter and would have gladly given up the rear air vents for more
space there. Especially given the small size of the glove compartment.

But overall, it's a better cat than my '03 and I love the way it looks.

I really noticed this as well. The floor mats in my 03 were a good 2 or 3 times thicker than the ones in my 07.

+1

I was surprised when I took the mats out for a cleaning at how thin and cheap they feel. The heel mark after 2k miles looks like the car has 50k+ on it. Definitely a disappointment. But for me if they shave a few bucks on the mats and did the improvements they did on the rest of the interior it's a fantastic trade off. Nissan has always tried to find ways to save money in areas like this (and always seemed to be putting it into the engine), but in this case I think they may have found the right area to skimp, since the rest of the interior so far seems great.

But to the main question: I F*cking love this car.

Man am I the only person that got shafted with a crappy rental car when the dealer had to give me something to drive. I got an A/T Dodge Stratus.

I'm Just complaining you can ignore me

I like the '07 sedan. It is a very nice car. To be honest, I don't love it, but I don't regret buying it either.

I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

CPB...can you give some pro's and con's as to why you rate it an 8 out of 10?

Not that that is bad, but what do you like and dislike?

I didn't own an earlier model G35, but I looked at the 06 back in May and decided to wait. At the time, I probably would have gone with a 3-series BMW over the '06 G35. When I got to see/drive the 2007, it won out against the 335i. With 1500mi on the car now, I've started to wind it out a little and have no regrets with the choice.
