Gas mileage anyone?

I know its not the first thing you think about when you buy a luxury sports car, but I am curious to know what kind of mileage (MPG) you 07 sedan drivers are getting.

Please let us know what tranny you have and the type of driving you do, mostly city, hwy, both..
Thanks

Get around 21.5 in mixed driving. Did a 500 mile trip and got 23 on the highway but that was going 80 and AC the whole way. This is with an auto.

I'm getting about 21 in city driving that includes some Freeway commuting. The computer says my average speed has been around 33mph.

Hang on, Rick! Is that "Freeway commuting" on Mopac? If so, does that really count as a Freeway?

It's on HW183 actually, from Spicewood to Lamar. That's why I listed my average speed of 33mph for all my city driving. I don't get stuck in gridlocked traffic, but it's certainly not 70mph open cruising.

Sometimes, I'll take Spicewood the back-way to Loop 360. Going over those 7 creek crossings with the dips and turns is a lot more interesting than tooling along HW183.

That sucks!! I hope you don't find this offensive, but do you drive WOT all the time? Maybe it's time to talk to the dealership. I'm also driving an X, and if I was getting 14mpg I would not be too happy.

not at all... and no, I'm still babying the pedal. Like you said this sucks and I was thinking about bringing it to a dealership. Mine's at 2k miles. Hopefully things will get better.

Audiophile: what's your mileage at?

Driving exclusively on back roads with lots of stop signs and traffic lights - 13 - 15

This is admittedly with a) some throttle experimentation and b) keeping the car in the gear I like, vs the tallest, most fuel-efficient one.

EDIT>>> 2,200 miles on the car

Mixed back roads/highway (70/30) commute to work = 18.5-19 mpg.

Currently at 1400 mi.
