Has anyone noticed on their 07 G that if you slam on the brakes that the AT will automatically downshift 1-2 gears and use the engine RPM for braking?

 

I think I read something about that as part of the specs on the inifiti web site, i think they said it.. is smart at down shifting or something, and then rev matching on others.. or soemthing... but i think that's cool if they automatically down shift to give more braking power but then again, if you have some real good brakes, it wouldn't matter since it's all up to how much traction you can get hehe but still smart, oh and then when you accelerate again, your already down a couple gears

If you have ICC, the brakes can also pre-pressurize. I think the brake system is pretty incredible. From the forums, most of the 07's wrecked and in the shop right now are from getting rear ended.

 

I find this more the case when I drive in Drive Sport "DS" mode...I don't notice it in regular Drive "D" mode.
