Bluetooth Compatibilty and Quality...

Where can I find a list of compatible bluetooth phones? I have a Verizon Razor, so I would imagine it would be compatible.

How well does the system in the car work? Are you guys utilizing it?

Thanks!

Go to http://www.infiniti.com/bluetooth/ and choose 07 G Sedan. It will give you a list of compatible BT phones. I have a Razr and it has worked flawless so far.

I have a Samsung A900 Bluetooth phone, but it is not on the list. Is that list possibly still in the process of being completed, or am I to assume that my phone will not work with the 2007 G35 Sedan?

Thanks.

I think most phones that have BT capability(which is practically any phone you get nowadays) can be paired with the G.

Neither of my phones-Nokia N80 or an old SonyEricsson- weren't on the list and both work perfectly fine with the G.

I have the A900 as well, and it works ok. Overall I'm not too happy with this phone in terms of its overall Bluetooth performance (in the G and on a portable headset). It is on the Infiniti list for the 2007 G w/ Nav. In the instructions from Infinitiit says it isn't able to send contacts via Bluetooth, but that is not true. PM me if you're having trouble sending your contacts and need help, I only recently figured it out and I've had the car for over 2 months.

Thanks. If I get the car, I may take you up on that.

Don't rely on the list. If your phone has Bluetooth, go to your nearest Infiniti dealer and try it out. Pair your phone with the car, then ask a friend or the sales rep to call you from his cell phone. Even have your friend stay at the dealership while you test drive and have him/her call you. You'll love the system. It's clear and responsive. So far, all its capabilities have functioned properly with my Sony Ericsson K750i, and it's not listed on the website. Try downloading your phone book from the cell to the car, too. Just make sure you delete the entire phone book before you leave.

The list on Infinit's site is incomplete. I have the LG VX8100 from VZ and it works on the QX56 - yet, not listed as a compatible phone. I think that if you have a fairly new and recent model, it should work.

Same with my phone - Cingular 8525 - it's not on the list but it works great. The only thing it doesn't do it download contacts, maybe because contacts onthe phone have multiple numbers per name. I did get it to "beam" a contact via bluetooth to the car, but I had no control (that I know of) over what number it sent from that contact.

If any of you have noticed that it takes waaaay too long to upload your address book to the car -- and it times out -- the reason could be that you have images that correspond to your address book entries. For my K750i, I link my entries to photos I took with the phone's camera. They're all stored on my 1GB memory stick. What I did was remove the stick from the remove and retried the transfer. It took a minute or two, then BAM! Everything's stored in the car. My pet-peeve, however: The car automatically sorted everything by last name. In other words, if you have "DOE JOHN" on your phone, the car will flip it to say "JOHN DOE" -- and vise-versa.
