Paired Phone Questions
Paired Phone Questions
1. At the dealership, the manager's phone was paired with one of the cars inside the building; the nav screen displayed his current battery life and his signal strength. On my car, however, I have no trouble pairing my phone, but the screen never displays the battery life and always shows 0 "bars" of signal strength (even though the phone itself shows several bars. Is this just dependent on my phone or carrier, or is there something I'm missing?
2. I can't find any option on my phone (an LG Fusic) of downloading the entire phonebook; I can only send one phonebook entry at a time via Bluetooth. Additionally, whenever I send an entry, the pairing disconnects, and I have to start over again (although it does send the entry). Any ideas?
Thanks!

Uploadiing phonebook via BT is dependent on the capabilities of the cell phone.
Well, I saw the signal strength and the battery on the screen myself, and I asked him if that's what it was, and he said yes. However, I'm not sure what was phone or carrier he has.

My Samsung A900 sometimes shows the battery level and signal strength but not always. It seems that it will show when it first connects to the car but then it disappears until a call is started or the phone rings.
My phone doesn't have a option to download the phonebook either, but I was able to select multiple entries using check boxes
I have an LG Fusic with Sprint. Pairing with this (and the '06 loaner I had for a month) was easy--just don't see a way of multi-selecting phonebook entries to send on my phone (and it kept disconnecting like I said before).

I know exactly what you mean--if you try to send prior to getting to the correct screen on the car, the phone will ask if you want to disconnect. But what mine is doing is that I DO have the car ready to receive, and when I send the contact via the phone, the car receives it but then says "LG Fusic Disconnected." So, I just started keying in all of the contacts (I've only done 6 or 7 so far though).
By the way, you and I have the exact same car and packages, except mine is the liquid platinum (light silver) instead of the darker silver. :-)

I have a Motorola Razr V3C through Verizon and the phone pairs easliy. I automatically pairs when I enter the car if the phones bluetooth is set to on and the battery and signal strength always appear on the Nav screen. My questions is has anyone figured out how to tranfer contacts from the phone to the car even if only one at a time?
i have a samsung a990 with verizon. sometime itll automatically reconnect w to the car other time ill have to turn the phone off then on. afaik, verizon bluetooth doesnt offer file transfers so we have input the names and number manually
.
ps: mine shows the signal all the time, battery life during a call.
