Is this really going to be the engine in a new NISMO 350Z?

this is the engine for the new 380RS 350z which cost a whopping 212,000 US. It's like the type-r's of 350z's!!!!!

I believe that engine is gonna be in one the Z line-ups...

I forgot all the models, but one of them, If I recall, was a 3.8.

This is only going to be available in Japan as their nismo line-up.

But from what I hear, it's gonna be WAY over priced.

In the U.S, it should have the same engine as the next G35 Coupe... whether it's the VQ35HR, or the anticipated VQ37HR.

I love my G, but what kind of crack addiction does it take to be dumb enough to pay that much for a 350z? You only get an extra 110HP over the VQ35HR. I'll take a new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano instead.

Liken it to something like the Nismo R34 Skyline. Sure it has a stratospheric price, not the most horsepower around, but it was a completely engineered car from top to bottom.

Essentially, it needs nothing. Built with reliability and power in mind. I'd never get one, but it'd be cool

Assuming you mean the R34 Skyline GT-R, it's nowhere near US$212K. Only the ultra-exclusive GT-R Z-Tune model (20 built) comes close at US$160K, but it's a 500bhp supercar.

Nissan is seriously on bad drugs believing there's any real market for a Z of any caliber in this price range, unless, of course, it's strictly a show piece and the price is intended to discourage sale.
