What Oil will you use in your new G? (Poll)

What Oil do you plan on using in your new G35? Just curious since there seems to be some concern over Mobil 1 formulation having been changed

I will be using Mobil 1. This oil is all you will ever need on the street. If you want to go with extended drain intervals and takes changes to 15K, then maybe Redline or Amsoil would be best.
If you are planning changes every 7500 miles or so, then Mobil 1 is all you will ever need.

Same. Used it all the time on my Z and changed every 4k miles or so with pretty hard city driving. Different commute now but probably will do the same. I see no need to push the envelope given how inexpensive oil changes are.

are/will you guys run M1 synthetic or reg?? i use to run synthetic in my a4. general consesus was that synthetic was much better for forced induction engines. given that i choose to run synthetic, is there a procedure i have to follow or just put it in at the next oil change?? oh and how soon do i need to change the oil on a new engine? 1000 miles? 2000? do i even need to change the oil before the standard 3k miles (even during break-in?).

thanx

Synthetic.... Synth oil provides better lubrication, shear and cleaning than mineral based oil. It doesn't leave deposits over time either. M1 is based on a group 3 base stock, which is fine for any kind of street use.

Question - I doubt if I will drive 3,750 miles in 3 months. What's more likely is I'll have about 2000 miles every 3 months. So, if I wait to change the oild at 3,750 miles, it will take about 5.5 months. What's better? Wait until 3 months or 3,750 miles (yeah, Infiniti probably says 3,750 miles or 3 months, so I also wouldn't want to get in trouble with warranty issues...).

6.5qts of M1 15W50 15,000k does the trick.
