Didn't know the Nav didn't come with a mp3 changer. Guess that's a small plus for us nonNavers hah

Yep, my changer in trunk is audio CDs only. I haven't put one single CD in the trunk changer yet, and no doubt never will.

$6 /mo for XM Radio (which sounds amazing) and another $3/mo for Nav Traffic. Worth every penny for me.
With the Nav traffic - will it re-route you is traffic is slow, or has it just been helpful for you to see where it's slow and chnage route yourself?
I ask because I was on 405n late last night, it was going slowly, and showed that on the navscreen, but there was no re-routing. On the other hand, I don't think it was going slowly enough that another route would have helped.

How accurate would you say the traffic speeds are? Where does XM Nav Traffic pull the data from?

Details on how it works...
There are also icons that show accidents in addition to 4 traffic speed colors (Red/Yellow/Green & Purple=urskrewd).
I don't see an option for auto-reroute... but if you know the freeways, you can use the info to take another way - or just get off and let the system re-ruote you.
From the manual:

I see the accident symbol quite frequently - and it does match an incident.

--OK I just noticed this in the manual... pretty funny:

AIR RAID! AAAAHHHH!

I got the non-Nav. The deciding factor ended up being the CD changer in the trunk and the fact that you can't upload to the HD from CF cards. If they had left the CD changer off I probably would have gone with the Nav.
If you could have uploaded to the HD from the CF card I would surely have gone with the Nav. When we travel we take my wifes Expedition so the Nav was kind of pointless to me. I know how to get back and forth to work

Go with the Navi. I never thought I would use it as much as I have.

It'll play MP3s from the trunk changer (burned to CDs) - is that what you meant?

No, the trunk CD changer plays audio format CDs only. It does not support MP3 CDs.

My mistake! You're absolutely right - I thought the disk I tried back there was MP3s... they're not. Not sure I'll ever be using it... maybe for that obscure CD I rarely listen to, but the record speed to the HD is so fast & easy. That'll be the primary source.

Nice to see the manual writers have a sense of humor.
Or maybe something was lost in translation?

LOL.
