1st 1/4mi. run in my 6-mt G!
Next time if the track is still that slick, just launch near idle. The car should still have enough power to grab a low 2.3 60' with a nearly off idle and boggy launch. Granny shift the 1-2 a bit too. I've botched a few launches with my 5AT and launched off idle and pulled a weak 2.3 60', but still managed upper 14.4s@98mph. With a stronger launch and a 2.1 60', the car does lower 14.3s.
Just remember this car isn't AWD and it's probably not possible to go full throttle through most of 1st. I couldn't use WOT in my FWD Maxima until 6000rpms in my Maxima. If you want to launch ***** to the wall, slicks will be mandatory.

I think When I get the 19" volk wheels, I'll get some slicks or some stickier tires for the 18's and use them as track wheels. 
I've seen some nice tires coming out from the sema show this year.
