Thumbs up 1st 1/4mi. run in my 6-mt G!

Well, not yet. I'm going to Firebird tonight, I'll post my results tonight when I get back. I'd like to see a good 60', I've been able to get consistant 1.8-1.9 after a few runs with my subi (could have gotten down to 1.7-1.6 with more practice I believe), that's with 215 width street tires all around, hopefully the extra rubber and larger motor on the G will make up for the extra 700 lbs. of weight.

Thumbs down What a horrible night

Well, got to the track 2 hours late, took over an hour to get through tech, another hour and a half in line, and then I couldn't get traction until deep in 2nd gear, and got a pathetic 2.5 60 foot. I ran a 15.1 at 98 mph. good MPH, crappy time I'm soooo disapointed, I just left the track. Better luck next time, for sure. Sorry everyone I couldn't post good news, I know I can get a 13 out of it, easy. My bad, not the car. My buddies wrx ran a 13.7 @ 102 with a 2.1 60 foot, his tires sucked

Sorry to hear that, it take a bit practice & you can't do that all the time
unless you live next door to the track.

I use a G-timer & have a place to practice, I got my 1/4 time improved from
14.8 to 14.4 over time, well mostly because of winter.

Then my first run with the S/C was terrible, I forgot to turn the VDC off,
So here I was , slipping, VDC came on, fuel got cut, hit rev limiter
, fuel got cut again, got in 2nd gear, hit rev lomiter again, it was just a mess. the G-timer could not record a time.

I am working on lean AFR & VB upgrade before I'l do another run. But a G-timer comes real handy on practices.

Its tough to have fun when its crowded and you have to wait soooo long between runs . I had posted earlier that its real hard to get a good 60ft on street tires . With my AT5 I can never get below 2.0 [ need DR's or slick's ] only once had I went under [ 1.98 ] . Also..the G35 is soo dam heavy its harder to get it into the 13's .

the track was poorly prepped, and it was slick as ice. Oh well, I can only get better times now!

/\ not at all, I have launch control on the subi, and I have it set at 5500(redline is currently 8250rpm) so it builds around 7lbs of boost off the line from a standstill, max boost depends on which map I'm in. Boost peaks at 1.6bar (with the base zerosport map and stock turbo)
With the G, I was slipping the clutch at 3k and the tires just wouldn't bite good.
