Woot! Springs are Here! What now?

H&R Sport Springs came in today...

What to do now...

My 48+ rear wheels are probably still several weeks away.

Do I get the springs installed and try them with my 40+ rears?

If I rub I'll have to put my factory wheels back on until my 48+ rims get
here. That'll be a hassle cause I'll have to load up my old wheels, take them down to the shop, load my Volk's up, bring them back home and store them for two weeks and repeat the process when my 48+'s come in...

If I wait until my 48+ come in then I'm sure to leave the shop with either
my 40+ or 48+'s on the car with no need to hassle with putting the factory wheels on.

What would YOU do?

P.S. Just ordered Bat's overlays for my rear tail lights for $45 shipped. Guy takes Paypal if you got direct transfer from bank acct. (no credit card Paypal).

Springs will probably be my last mod on this car. I would like to do a BBK but I don't want to put that kind of $$$ in the car since I'll be trading her when the 7AT comes out in '08

I figure if I trade next year it won't be that big a deal to take her in before I trade and get the factory springs and wheels put back on her so I can put the H&R springs and Volk's on the '08.

Drop it, drop it. Then you will know right away. You might be fine with your 40MM, this way you will know right now. Go for it.

Drop it. Since you haven't had problems w/ rubbing with 4 people in the car, I doubt if it will rub when it's lowered.

Just got back from the tire shop. The guys there said they think they can make the +40's rears work and keep the camber in spec but they said it might
rub with 4 people in the car going over speedbumps unless they lean the tires in a little.

It's rare that I have 4 people in the car. If the family is goes anywhere we take our Expedition.

The guy said the +48's would be no problem but he recommended we go ahead and try the +40's

Got an appointment to drop it off this coming Thursday.

Here we go with the camber thing again . Keep in mind if it still works, you may have premature tire wear on tires that cost about $300 each.

Agreed!! Just get'er down first. Figure out the rest later! The G looks pretty hot lowered with the stock wheels, IMO, so even if you gotta run around with them for a little while, its not like you'll be looking Mickey Mouse

Ya, the stock 18's are still bigger than most of the wheels out there anyway. I'd always prefered the look of lowered cars with decent stock wheels; rather than nice wheels on a stock suspension.
