Infiniti of Pleasanton CA

I just wanted to see if anyone has any positive or negative feedback from dealing with the service team at Infiniti of Pleasanton. I have bought 2 cars from there and their sales team is top notch in my opinion but I wanted to get a feeling about their support side. If you could also provide who you dealt with and what type of issues they were I would appreciate it.

I've heard good and bad things about them, mostly bad experiences. Not sure if Oakland is too far for you, but I'd be willing to drive a little further for great service. No one has said one bad thing about Oakland yet.

I bought mine there a couple weeks ago and agree the sales team is tops. I haven't had anything done yet but made an appt for them to buff out the paint in some areas and fix a few clear coat scratches. Postponed it until next week due to the rain.

I got mine at IOP as well. Sales was great. My first service will be in about 1k so I'll let you know. One thing to watch out for is their car wash. I walked back there and it isn't something I'll ever let my car go through again.

I didn't see the car washing process but I did notice some real light swirling on the new car so they are going to detail it. I'll have to check that out and make sure to tell them no car washing after service work.

I have bought 5 Cars from the Pleasanton Auto Mall!

The sales experience at Infiniti of Pleasanton was one of the best I have experienced. All dealers have some sleazy sales people, but it wasn't evident here. I dealt with Mike Sexton and Tim Smith (somehow these two seem to work together without any issues - that was a first for me!!). Also, they gave me $1,500 off the MSRP, a coupon book for service worth about $500, a certificate for a free detail (inside and out), and a free cargo net (Yes, the cargo net is extra!).

I have purchased 5 cars from the Pleasanton Auto Mall (a consortium of dealers including Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, Volvo, and BMW) over the past 8 years and have always been very satisfied. Service also has been top notch.

Just as a comparison, I attempted to get a quote from Infiniti of Serramonte (near where I work) on the Peninsula for a G35S and I must tell you a root canal would have been more comforting. The salesman was obnoxious, arrogant, and did not seem to care whether he sold a car or not. He actually told me I had insulted him because I wasn't buying any of his crap! I never could get him to give me a final price for the car, and when I asked about my trade, he said I would have to sign a contract committing to the G35, before he would assess my trade-in. After I stopped laughing (he was pissed), I politely got up and left.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Whom did you talk to at Serramonte? I had my heart set on Oakland, but Serramonte had exactly what I wanted (it arrived the last week of Oct '06!), and they offered me a pretty good discount off MSRP (at that time, at least). I talked to only Claudio (Internet Sales) and Scott (GM). Great guys, very down to earth. I still prefer Oakland (Pam, GM).

I also bought my '06 sedan at Oakland and have been in for both the 3 & 6 month service. I've received top notch service in all my dealings with them so far.

I spoke to Claudio. He was real nice at first, but when I started asking serious questions, he turned nasty. Maybe he was having a bad day, but then that's not my problem! I got the impression from the very start that he didn't think I was really serious about buying a car.

All I can say is, if you start making a deal with this guy, be on guard. He was a "real sleaz" when dealing with me. But then, I challenged him on every point, which he didn't take very kindly.

Hahaha... I had a positive experience with him, although it was mostly via online. He was pretty desperate when I wanted my deposit back. Lucky for them (and for me), I switched my mind about the Lakeshore Slate, and decided on a Blue Slate, which they had. I kept my communication minimal and firm to the point, leaving him really no room to say anything otherwise. And Scott was involved, too, and he's extremely helpful and courteous (more so than Claudio). There's definitely something about Claudio that I didn't like. He just wasn't as personable or genuine as other sales reps. Oakland by far had the best people and service. Super professional, super respectful (mind you, I look young, act young, and sometimes dress casual when going into showrooms, but not once did Oakland give me that "oh, you're just some punk kid who probably doesn't even have the money to buy our used cars" attitude).
