i never noticed that before. what do the blue dots mean?

i think it is tracking.. .but how did i turn that on, how do i turn it off, and HOW DO I USE THIS FEATURE TO MY BENEFIT?

It is tracking, I think it's turned off and on in Settings--> Navigation --> (something)

I have no idea what it's good for - there are multiple colors (I guess for different trips???) that can be turned off and on but why, I have no idea.

Anyone use this?

i think (but am not certain) that they are intersections along routes; or perhaps disembodied voicetags

hmm.."tracking" for me comes up as yellow dots all over places I've been.

It’s used to mark your route or a trail. Imagine leaving bread crumbs along your route (walking) so you can remember where you have already been, that way you'll know where to go when you are returning. With the NAV system you won’t need it to return from your destination, but you’ll know every step (so to speak) that you’ve taken along the way.

I believe tracking is used to store routes too, so if the nav gives you one way to go, but you decide to take a slightly different way for what ever reason... you can store the actual route and not the planned route...

I always turn mine on to make sure no one takes my car for a "test drive" when I drop it off to have work done on it.
